Powell’s City of Books

If you’re a book lover, or you have someone visiting that’s a book lover, Powell’s City of Books is the place to go. Dubbed the largest independent bookstore in the world, Powell’s is definitely gigantic. It takes up an entire block in downtown Portland, with over 60,000 square feet of books!

Powell’s is fun just to wander through – it’s big enough to remind you of a library, and if you love books as much as I do you can just find a quiet section, grab a book and start reading!
